Here at the Karting de Challans, things move very fast and it’s important to us that our treasured clients always stay up to date with the important things going on. That’s why we’re finally bringing our highly anticipated newsletter to you! Every month, a new issue of our newsletter will be published with all of the latest changes, wins, races, and gossip about your favourite kart track!
This month has been incredibly busy for the Karting de Challans team, and drivers. What’s more, there’s plenty of upcoming events you definitely don’t want to miss. Here’s everything you need to know!
Team Groheux for the win!
At an incredible race weekend at Lohéac from the 17th of October to the 20th, our very own Lucas Groheux brought the first place trophy home!
This was Lucas’ first big win, and one that no one will soon forget. Accompanied by his father Patrick,his mother Corinne and with Andrew by his side, Lucas showed the 40 other drivers how it was done.
Of course, like any great racing driver, Lucas is already looking to his next race. If you happen to see him training at the Karting de Challans, make sure to congratulate him on this big win!
The Karting de Challans had its own race
In our very own sprint race on Sunday 27th, many of our favourite customers dropped by the give the track a race for its money!
However, it was frequent driver, Éric Edet who brought home the trophy for first place. Éric has been driving with the Karting de Challans for a little over a year, and has quickly become one of our most promising and talented drivers. Let’s see if he can keep the winning mantle at our next race in November!
The Karting de Challans Championship
Yup, you read that right, the Karting de Challans is finally hosting its very own championship! Starting in January 2025, the Karting de Challans will host seven races, one each month, as part of the sprint championship, and the endurance championship!
The winner of the overall championship will be awarded a brand new helmet, with the second place driver getting a driving suit, and a pair of racing gloves will be given to the third place driver.

The Telethon
On the first of December, the Karting de Challans will be hosting its very first Telethon race! This endurance race will last for four hours. Teams of two to four people will battle it out from 9 a.m., and celebrate the winning team together just after 1 p.m. Of course, the Karting de Challans would also be happy to welcome passionate spectators to cheer on our teams, so come for a coffee and a great show to kick off the Christmas month!
While no less than 14 teams have already signed up for this race for a cause, we still have room for one more team. So, why wait? Do you think you could beat the other teams, and help a great cause? The 2024 League de Bretagne Awards
On Saturday November 23rd, James and Andrew were proud to accompany Mr. Lucas Groheux, Mr. Ethan Barreau, and their wonderful families to Rennes for an evening to remember. Due to both drivers’ fantastic seasons, they were both rewarded at the 2024 League de Bretagne awards! After much hard work and determination, Lucas reached second place in the League de Bretagne Championship. Ethan also made his mark on the sport this year, and was given a medal for all he has achieved. The evening of awards and celebrations brought a lot of laughter, pride, and even a tear or two (mostly on Andrew’s part.)
Congratulations to team Groheux and team Barreau for a fantastic racing year, and here’s looking to next year for the Karting de Challans’ next champions!
The prices are changing
Don’t panic! We know that prices have changed everywhere and that it’s been difficult for everyone. Sadly, the same also goes for your beloved Karting de Challans! Despite the increase in running costs that have steadily grown over the past few years, we have managed to maintain our prices for the past five years! However, the Karting de Challans is finally going to have to increase its prices in order to be able to keep giving you the very best quality sessions each and every time you’re on the track.
One of our main goals will always be to make go-karting as accessible as possible for our customers. That is why, while we have to increase our prices from January 2025, we will still offer you the best prices for your sessions.
To be more precise, our sessions for the 270 CC go-karts will go from 18€ per session to 20€ per session. For the moment, this is the only price increase that we have to make, and we hope that will stay the same for a while!
However, we will maintain our decrease in prices throughout the day. That is to say that the second session will go to 18€, then the third one will be 16€, and it will remain at 16€ for the rest of the day!
